Cartoon Network: Rise and Fall

Remember when Cartoon Network was the best kids channel? They had like the best cartoons? I do. If you are at least 15, you have been watching Cartoon Network almost since it appeared in 1992. They, in my opinion, are turning for the worse.

Here is a brief timeline of events:

1992: Cartoon Network is formed to show Hannah-Barberra cartoons.

1993: “C.N. adds Cartoon Cartoons!” They create 8 original shows. These include “Dexter’s Laboratory”, “Courage the Cowardly Dog”, “Ed Ed and Eddy”, and a few others.

1997: C.N. launches Toonami. Toonami shows action cartoons including Japanese anime.

2004: By this time, Hanna Barbera had stopped making cartoons after 40 years. All Cartoon Cartoons except for Ed Edd and Eddy had been canceled. They were replaced by shows such as Kids Next Door. They also changed their logo and format and everything.

2006: C.N. adds shows like “Camp Lazlo”,  “Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends”, and “Ben 10” Many people consider these the last “great” shows. They also add a freakin LIVE ACTION SHOW!

2008: C.N. ends Toonami. 😦 C.N. also ends Fosters and Camp Lazlo soon after. They also add Chowder and the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.

2010: C.N. ends Chowder and Flapjack. They also show more re-runs and bring back Looney-Tunes. (They’re getitng better…) They also add Adventure Time and Regular Show (which is one out of 2 shows i still watch on there…)

2011: The Looney Tunes show is added. I actually like it and watch it.

The whole point is, C.N. needs to get their act back together.
